Kelsea Polk, MA

Associate Marriage & Family Therapist
Supervised by: Christine Nazarian

I am Kelsea, an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist in CA.

Kelsea is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who takes a systemic approach to therapy, looking at the bigger picture of what shapes our lives—not just what’s happening within us, but also our families, relationships, communities, culture, and circumstances. She works from an intergenerational and feminist perspective, helping clients make sense of patterns they may have learned or carried forward while finding new ways of responding that feel more true to who they are.

My Approach

Her approach is holistic and grounded in the connection between mental health, physical well-being, relationships, and environment. Kelsea has worked with pre-teens, teens, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and psychosis, as well as people navigating substance use, homelessness, housing instability, and limited resources. She believes therapy should be collaborative and practical, while still making room for the complexity of each person’s experience.

Kelsea also brings creativity and movement into her work when it feels useful, drawing from her background in dance, creative writing, surfing, and sewing. She is particularly interested in exploring ways people can connect with emotions and experiences that aren’t always easy to put into words.

Above all, Kelsea aims to create a space where clients can be honest about where they are without feeling judged or pressured to have everything figured out. Whether working through long-standing family patterns or dealing with something happening right now, she believes therapy can be a place to slow down, make sense of what’s happening, and figure out what comes next.
